Today Couleur Café announces 7 new acts to brighten up the festival season.
On Friday, Nigeria's musical crown jewel Wizkid will show us all why he's the most streamed African artist ever. But that isn't the only party on the opening day; Arp Frique will shake things up with their catchy Caribbean disco funk. Rap lovers can start looking forward to conscious Irish rap prodigy Kojaque, one of the revelations at the Eurosonic showcase festival.
Over to Saturday for some brilliant dark pop from local hero Tamino. Couleur Café is the first of only two national festivals the Belgian Egyptian will play this summer. With OSHUN, the Osseghempark welcomes two New York RnB princesses with a big heart for African tradition.
On Sunday, The Cat Empire will make their Couleur Café debut. Their festive cocktail of ska, jazz, reggae, hip hop, funk, rock & salsa has been topping the audience's wishlists for years. Finally we've got Kinshasa's hottest block party coming over; KOKOKO! will light up the night with their home-made instruments.
More acts to be announced very soon. Tickets (including the beneficiary group tickets) here.
