#2030isnow: 17 goals for saving the world!

As part of the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals, the European Commission and Belgian Development Cooperation are taking over Couleur Café in order to meet festival goers. Find us at our stand #2030isnow, the main attraction of which is an interactive wall where it will be possible for you to find out more about the Sustainable Development Goals, but also to make your contribution to meeting them.

What are the Sustainable Development Goals?

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), also called Global Goals, constitute a worldwide call to act to eradicate poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all humans live in peace and prosperity.

The 17 Goals are based on the success of the Millennium Development Goals, but include new concerns, such as climate change, peace and justice, among other priorities. The goals are closely related to each other, the success of one often depending on the resolution of problems generally associated with another goal.

The European campaign #2030isnow

With the European Union being the leading global partner of developing countries, the aim of the European campaign #2030isnow is to raise awareness among European citizens, especially young people, about the importance of the Goals and the measures taken to achieve it.

This campaign, which will be conducted throughout the summer in the European Union's different Member States, also aims to explain to young and old what they can do at their own personal level as responsible citizens.  Because it is the responsibility of each and every one of us to take care of our planet by adopting the appropriate measures to preserve it.
